An eighth fishermen livelihood center with active enumerators conducting the Fishing & living port sampling program has been set up. Our 2 new enumerator and our experienced field supervisor will start collecting data from the landing handline tuna boats in Bone this week. In addition to the port sampling we currently have, our community engagement officer is based in Bone on a full time basis. She has spent the last 2 months in Bone, building strong links with the fishermen and supporting them in the development of local fishermen groups and associations in order to encourage them to strengthen their own local management, together with other members of the supply chain and local government.
