October 2016
On October 23rd, 50 students from 2 schools in the fishing town of Tuy Hoa (located in central Vietnam) participated in an ocean awareness event organized by Fishing & Living. During this event, the school children got the opportunity to learn fun facts about the ocean and why it is important to protect it. Games were organized around the themes of sustainability and ocean conservation and how to protect sea turtles and sharks. Finally, all participants got together in a beach clean up on the beach of Tuy Hoa.
For this event, Fishing & Living collaborated with the Vietnam Tuna Association, ICAFIS, Tuy Hoa port representatives, tuna suppliers and school teachers.
