As part of Fishing and Living CSR activities, a twice yearly program that distributes helmets to children in local fishing communities was created in 2011. The focus of the event is to provide safety to the children of the fishing communities, where it is common to see them being transported on motorbikes without helmets.
The inaugural event in 2011 took place in Kedonganan Beach, Bali and began with a rewarding day of games, snacks and fun for over 100 of the local children. After awarding the winners with their game prizes, the event culminated with the distribution of over 250 helmets by our F&L family children personally to those of the local fishing community so they may be safe while traveling by motorcycle. It is also a core value of the F&L program that the children of the Fishing and Living staff learn at an early age the importance of giving back to the community.
